The Renova Storm Process

From damage to done.

  1. Step 1

    Call or request online

Our storm line is staffed 24/7 during hurricane season. We dispatch a roof specialist within hours.

  2. Step 2

    We document everything

Full drone aerials, close-up damage photos, measurements, and a written estimate — formatted for your insurer.

  3. Step 3

    You file the claim

We share the report directly with your adjuster. Most homeowners use it as their primary claim documentation.

  4. Step 4

    We negotiate if needed

If your insurer underpays, we know what's reasonable in South Florida and push back with evidence.

  5. Step 5

    We install your new roof

Once your claim is approved, we install fast — most replacements are wrapped in 2-3 days.

What insurance covers

Most Florida policies pay for the full replacement.

Florida homeowners insurance generally covers sudden, accidental damage from wind, hail, falling objects, and storm uplift. Routine wear-and-tear isn't covered — that's where Renova's documentation matters most.

  • Wind damage — lifted, torn, or missing shingles or tiles
  • Hail impact — bruising, granule loss, fractured tiles
  • Tree or debris strike — punctures, structural deck damage
  • Storm-driven water intrusion — interior ceiling, attic, or wall damage

ACV vs RCV — the words that matter

Your policy pays either Actual Cash Value (depreciated) or Replacement Cost Value (full cost of a new roof). RCV pays better but you usually have to install before the recoverable depreciation is released. Renova handles both — and explains what your specific policy is doing in plain English.

Don't pay your deductible upfront.

Florida law requires deductibles be paid as part of the claim. We'll show you how to do this legally and avoid contractors who "waive" deductibles — that's insurance fraud and can void your claim.

FAQ

Common questions

How fast can someone come inspect?

During hurricane season we aim for same-day or next-morning. Off-season, usually within 24 hours.

Does the inspection cost anything?

No. Always free. Even if you decide not to file a claim or hire us.

What if my insurer denies the claim?

We'll review the denial letter with you. Often we can re-document and request reconsideration. If we genuinely can't recover the claim, we'll quote you fairly out-of-pocket.

Do I need to be home?

No — exterior inspections don't require access inside. We'll text you photos and the report.

How long until you can install if approved?

Most full replacements are scheduled within 2-3 weeks of permit, then installed in 2-3 days.
